Our Burn Away Cake is a work of art and a feast for the senses. Concealed under a delicate, edible wafer paper message, this cake awaits to reveal its surprise. Simply light the Wafer Paper message in the middle with a long lighter or matches and watch as the message burns away to reveal a surprise image or image. The choice is yours. Simply upload the image you want revealed and leave the rest to us.

- Our cakes are best enjoyed at room temperature.
- On delivery, unwrap your cake and put it in the fridge on delivery and bring it out at least two hours before consumption to bring it to room temperature (tip - if the buttercream is hard to touch, it isn't at room temperature yet and needs some more time out of the fridge).
Delivery
Our burn away cake in the post is sent by courier for Next Day delivery. The cakes are freshly made to order and frozen overnight for safe transit. As such they may arrive slightly frozen or call.
Please note that our Burn Away Cake in the Post is only available for delivery Tuesdays - Fridays. If you need it for the weekend, we suggest ordering for Friday delivery and storing your cake in the fridge for the weekend. Alternatively, if you are in London, you can order any of our standard burn away cakes HERE for Local delivery any day of the week.
You will get an email notification confirming dispatch. Please ensure someone will be available to receive the delivery on the delivery date you choose as the cakes are packaged for next day delivery and missed deliveries can result in the cake sitting at a sorting office longer than 48 hours.
Cake care
'Our cakes never contain any gelatin or preservatives unless stated'
We advise you to place your cake in the fridge, depending on your occasion and ideally remove an hour before your event or let this be the last thing you set on the table.
Single-tier cakes will stand for 6 hours and more and our stacked cakes can stand for at least 4hrs + during cooler climates and in the summer 3-4hrs. In hot climates, we do advise placing the cake in a well-ventilated room and having an A/C Unit on hand.
Never place our cakes in direct sunlight, like any human in the heat they will get hot & bothered and start to melt.
Your cake will come with our illustrated cake-cutting guide showing you how to cut a tall cake.
To preserve any leftover cake; place it in an airtight container with a slice or 2 of white bread and devour it within a week or 2 - refresh the bread as it dries out. For longer preservation; our cakes can be frozen for up to 3 months/thawed out overnight and devoured within 2-3 days don't forget to place them in an airtight container with a slice of white bread. Alternatively, wrap your cake with cling film and place it in the fridge
Return policy
Our cakes are baked to order therefore we cannot accept returns unless there is something wrong with the cake. If something is wrong, it needs to be reported at time of delivery and not after. We cannot take responsibility for anything reported after. For all refunds the item must be returned in full – this is legal requirement we have to follow.
At the point of delivery please check you are satisfied with the product – if there are any problems at this point the driver can be made aware and can help with the problem.
